I find this guy’s technique absolutely amazing. I have never heard anyone play fingerstyle electric like this. Maybe he has flatwound strings because there is virtually no noise when he picks with his fingers. His phrasing and note choice are sick too!

Yeah, I read more into it and it’s called picado. It’s so impressive how he gets it sounding so clean with gain. I’m going to guess he’s not using a bunch of gain but, because he’s so accurate and smooth, it sounds like he’s using more.
