I’m having trouble figuring out why my DWPS is bumpy.
As you can hear in the vid, when trying to tremolo pick, it sounds clicky or bumpy. Not smooth.

I would look into changing your motion mechanic. It looks like you are using a lot of wrist movement and not incorporating enough rotation for the hand position you are using.
Watch this video and experiment with the different anchor points and movements types.
The most important thing for me was to find a tremolo mechanic that felt comfortable for MY hand.
To be honest, I didn’t think it was bad It sounded like 16ths at around 140bpm to my ear. Maybe it just needs more practice and make sure that you are not tensing unecessarily. As @Sguitar has stated, it is worth experimenting, but my questions would be:
A) does it feel easy
B) Can you go faster than this video or is it you max tempo?
If A is yes, then maybe you just need to relax a bit, if not then definitely look to see if another mechanic works better for you.
If for B the answer is that you can go faster (even if it isn’t super consistent) then again maybe you need more time, if not experiment a little more.
I’ve watched it, but not sure what I should be targeting. You suggest incorporating rotation, but where?
A) it feels a bit awakward due to the non-smoothness.
B) it kinda seems to be the max speed.
Sounds like inconsistent pick attack. Kinda spazzy. Been there. Instead of just letting her rip and playing one stream of notes with a hope and a prayer, focus on accenting the first note in every group of four on the beat. AKA “chunking”. Put a little bit more force into the accented notes and the rest will likely fall into place behind. You could test yourself with a metronome here.
It looks like you’re using a lot of edge picking. Do a forum search for “Bridge Lean”, this might be helpful too.
I’ve tried adding some bridge lean and it didn’t help . In fact, it probably made the issue worse.
