Hey everyone!
I’m Salvatore, writing from Italy 
. Been playing guitar for a few years, self-taught, mostly rock/metal, and I’m now trying to seriously clean up my alternate picking. Found Cracking the Code through some YouTube videos on pickslanting and escape motion, and I’m hooked already.
Still trying to figure out my natural pickslant — pretty sure I lean one way but not 100% sure yet.
Quick question to kick things off: for those of you who went through this “figuring out your own motion” phase, was it obvious right away, or did it take a while (and a lot of slow-mo videos) to actually see it?
