No more Gumroad?

I’m trying to buy the Teemu Mantysaari inteview and I don’t see a “I want this” button. I looked on Gumroad and I don’t see it there either so I’m guessing CTC has moved away from Gumroad.com?

If I do pay a monthly fee, can I download the Teemu videos to my computer?

Sorry for the confusion!

There’s a “Downloads Store” link on the homepage navigation which will take you to our Gumroad downloads, same as it has in the past. But we don’t display it when you’re logged in, because we don’t want your money. Please don’t give us any of it.

Kidding. We removed it because we wanted to have a nice “logout” button up there for convenience, and it was getting crowded. So I just re-added the Gumroad store link to the footer “helpful links” section on the homepage. We’ll add that to the footer for every page so it shows up no matter whether you’re logged in or out.

Re: subscription, you still get tab downloads, just not video downloads. If you really need video file downloads, an a la carte purchase is still the way to go.

Thank you Troy, that’s much better now. I found the interview too! It’s not appearing on this page however -

I had to search gumroad.com for it.

Great  We actually were holding off on doing our full public launch for the Teemu interview, as we’ve been so busy lately getting the new platform up and running - but now that we’ve got the new site live we’ll get the Teemu interview properly announced and findable asap…and get cracking on other interviews in the pipeline, too!

Does the renewed Masters In Mechanics still have the same download options? Is this still through Gumroad?

Yes! For the foreseeable future we’re still doing all downloads through Gumroad. So that basically shouldn’t change the process much, for either download purchases or download copies of each new release for current subscribers.

One cool thing we added is a way to automatically give subscribers “credits” for these downloads so you’ll be able to see the Gumroad links in one place in your “my account” section here on the platform, and click through to the downloads on Gumroad. And conversely, people who have purchased a download will automatically be able to access that section of material on the site. We wanted to integrate the downloads as seamlessly as possible so we added integration with Gumroad in a few places like this.

I should note we also added a way to download each tablature example (PDF and GPX) with one click directly from each example’s page on our site. This supplements Soundslice giving an easy way to download a few things for offline access or use in the Guitar Pro mobile app.
