No More Tears Solo Picking Technique Question

At the end of the No More Tears Solo, Zakk plays a classic economy USX pattern, consisting of two downstrokes through the B and E strings, a picked upstroke, and a pull off.

I’m wondering if these can all be picked, either with swiping (D U D U, repeat) or 2WPS, or if the lick is too fast and has to be played with the pull off. It would sound better to my ears if it was all picked.

You could swipe as you were saying. So downstroke on the b, swipe through the e and then it’s just dudu.
Using a forearm and wrist usx, or Zak’s elbow forearm and wrist?, I would say it would be extremely difficult to attempt any sort of secondary motion to do it cleanly at speed.

Certain wrist only setups might find it “easier”, than other setups.
