No PDFs for subscribers?

There is no way to download PDFs for the seminars for subscribers it seems?

It makes the seminars pretty frustrating without being able to see the music, I’m going back and screen shotting the soundslice files to print them out but it really takes away from actually getting the work done. Mostly I’m using a tablet to watch the videos so can’t open more tabs.

The information is great but that really takes away from working efficiently. I appreciate it’s two different income streams but it sort of obligates that you buy the product AND subscribe.

Unless I’m missing something. Either way, the material is good. Just my thoughts.

Hi there!
Let me look into it, not sure if there should be a difference between the subscription and individual product. Will let you know asap.

PS: are you looking at one seminar in particular or are you experiencing the same thing with all of the seminars?

thanks for the quick reply!

I’m looking Antigravity right now and watched the Pickslanting Primer.

I totally get streaming vs downloading the videos for subscribers but being able to download the licks in one PDF would be a huge difference. I don’t see any option to download the pdfs for older stuff. I am able to download everything for Synchronicity because I think it came out recently.

It would make more sense if as a subscriber I couldn’t download any videos regardless of whenever they came out, but I could download all the PDFs. It would definitely make it easier to follow the videos.

Should be available as guitar pro files? At least they used to be!

I don’t see GP8 files at all. I just see soundslice.

But what I’d really love is a PDF of all the licks in one document so I could watch and take notes. Otherwise I’m bouncing through a million tabs of soundslice links and things.

Ok I double checked how it works in terms of the different types of access, here it goes:

If you are a MIM subscriber but do not own the specific product, you can stream all the video content from any of our products, ad you can also download individual tab files (gp or pdf).

To download a given tab, scroll down on the relevant soundlice page and select the download button. Then, choose gp or pdf:

If instead you own a particular seminar or interview, you get forever access to the streaming version, plus you can also download the videos and the tabs (individually or in batches).

By the way, since you are a subscriber, you also get acces to our technique critique (TC) platform.

If I may give a suggestion as one of the instructors, I’d recommend to open a TC and show us what you are currently working on - before worrying about taking detailed notes on the seminars. If nothing else, we may be able to direct you to the most relevant material, since at this point we have days’ worth of seminars, interviews and primer lessons (all accessible via your membership), and probably 5 billion* pages of associated tabs and transcriptions.

  • I may be slighlty exaggerating here… but they’re many

thanks for getting back to me.

I just submitted a TC. I’m a jazz player, mostly gypsy jazz lately with gypsy picking but I’m looking to incorporate alternate picking and/or economy into my playing, so thus far I’m mainly interested in the antigrativity two way pick slanting stuff, but I’m willing to work on other stuff if it seems applicable. Mostly obsessed with Adam Rogers picking lately.

I looked at the antigravity chapters and there doesn’t seem to be any guitar pro or PDFs. Even so, it would be awesome to have all the licks in one PDF while watching the video. Diving into all these links while trying to watch the video seems suboptimal.

Just my thoughts.

Are you saying that when you scroll to the bottom of the page in your screenshot you don’t see the download tab that I posted above? That should defo be available to subscribers and product owners alike.

If you scroll all the way down and still can’t see the download tab, do send us a screenshot of what you see at [email protected] and we’ll look into it.

In terms of jumping back and forth between soundslice tabs and lessons, we do have a cool usability feature where a link to the relevant tab appears under the lesson or interview video when the lick is played or mentioned, and at the same time the bottom of the soundslice page links back to the lesson at the relevant timestamp.

ah ok I see it now. Sorry about that.

Regarding on the screen stuff. I appreciate that. Working on a tablet with a guitar in my hand, it would be super sweet to have a printout. Also that would mean I could practice without the video. For me having a hard copy or at least a PDF is much superior to looking at a screen. And not having to print out each individual lick would be really nice. Just my thoughts. I do have a lot of printouts of things and it helps me jog my memory sometimes to go back and remember stuff. Videos for me are good ways of introducing information but really slow ways of reviewing things.

Thanks for all the responses! Happy holidays!
