I am working on 3 note per string and start on a downstroke and then the next string I start on an upstroke - it looks like I have a death grip on the pick and I’m locked on the bridge but I do have a relaxed pick grip and my hand isn’t really tense on the bridge
I’m no expert, and it’s a little hard to tell exactly what’s going on with a longsleeved shirt, but it looks a lot like a specific kind of wrist/forearm techique, similar to what Troy does here -
Does it have a kind of “motorcycle revving” feeling in your picking hand? When I do it, that’s what it feels like. It feels more vertical (Ala flexion/extension) than horizontal to me.

I didn’t even think about the long sleeve - appreciate you looking into this - it doesn’t feel like reving a motorcyle - I can understand that motion
