Oh hai there, let's get to 15 chars for this title

Hey all-
I am new here, been playing for many years, off and on, but this go round is my first super intense effort to up my proficiency on the guitar.

I am a published electronic music producer, pretty handy with the DAW, sound design, mixing, synths, etc. I have never been published on anything with me playing guitar, but this is the year that I merge the two identities.

Knowing that I will actually be putting my playing out there (ostensibly, anyways), I need to practice practice practice to hit a usable level for recording.

Always stoked to chat music, happy to be here. Thanks all.

Hey man, can you post a sample?

Post a sample of what?

If you mean of my music, sure thing:

I make very loud, very fast, dancefloor oriented drum and bass, and it is not everyone’s cup of tea.

But this fusion thing I’m talking about doing will not be dnb. It will be something else entirely, “real” music, lol. Probs proggy, metal-y, but still apocalyptic and and sci fi, with lots of sound design littered throughout.

I like that, got a lot of attention grabbing sound. No guitar? I can hear that sound with a hardcore guitar solo in the middle.

All synths.

But lots and lots and lots of distortion.

New “other” music will deffo have guitar. Although it may still get left out of the stuff destined for the dancefloor. We will see. There are def some dnb cats who do include guitar, though. Zardonic immediately comes to mind, his isht is mental metal, if you like this, and guitar, you should check his stuff out. South American dude. Dope af.

Thanks for the listen & kind words :sunglasses:
