Not sure this is the place to ask, but I’m not going on reddit lol. Do you guys have any tips for a Periphery 4 style guitar tone. Thick and nasty but with lots of clarity in low tunings kinda thing. I know the basic stuff, boost with ts, noise gat, etc. Im wondering if you guys have any lesser known tips. Any info is appreciated, thanks!
IMO his tone is quite bright, but not too fizzy or thin. The Precision Drive pedal has an attack and bright knob which both help get this tone.
When I try to go for a tone like this on a modeller, I put an EQ at the start of the chain and cut everything below 250 Hz. After that, I put a Tubescreamer with the gain back and volume boosted. I would turn the tone up to 20 or 30. I’m not sure what gear you’re using, but a high gain amp model will get you there.
