Pick Grip With Forearm Rotation

It’s been a while since I posted anything here. I’ve been working hard and sort of just letting things take their course with time. I do have one thing that is really nagging at me though. I still have trouble consistently playing on the high e string. I believe this is due to the thumb side of my hand being too close to the strings for rotation to work effectively. I want to try and change my grip to more of an angle pad type thing, which will allow more space between my hand and the strings, but it is really hard for me to make that work right now. I was hoping to get some feedback on this and possibly see if anyone uses a wrist/forearm blend with a more trigger style grip. I made a similar post to this where I thought I found something more extended that worked, but it wasn’t really something that consistently fixed the issue. Thanks ahead of time for any input.

I think a video illustrating the problem might help.

Offhand, I think with forearm/wrist blend, the more wrist flex you use (and possibly more forearm supination), the easier it is to get as much space from the strings as you want.
