I want to get going on the Cascade material. Is there any reason I need to start with the Pickslanting Primer, or is Cascade self contained?
I’ve said this before but I think we can do a better job on introductory material about pick grip, hand positioning, picking motion and so on. If you’re already comfortable with those things and have a rudimentary understanding of downward pickslanting then you’re fine with Cascade by itself as it deals mostly with the content of what Eric plays.
Awesome, thanks for the reply. I think I’ll give it a shot and see how it goes. I’m not really a metal or shredder guy, so I think Cascade fits my goals best.
I’m also starting to study the cascade stuff these days! Very cool way to approach pentatonics and a nice break from the 3nps stuff.
