Interesting. I was actually wondering if he was an example but don’t know enough about his lines. Does this sort of thing demand a really supinated (three-finger grip) form?
What sort of thing, continuous USX? Bill is pronated and plays plenty of USX lines and also plenty of DBX lines:
And of course Shawn Lane is pronated USX. And DBX is definitely available with his pronated form, even with the trailing edge grip. DBX in general is very popular among pronated players.
So I think basically all these combinations are possible.
