I have recently been reading through some older threads debating amps, plugins and amp sims, but I have not seen any mention of the Tonocracy plugin by atomic amps.
It is a plugin (also avaliable as a standalone application) which was recently made free, and occasionally gets free updates. It has a wide variety of amps to chose from and can also load profiles (e.g. NAM profiles). Its kinda like helix native, but with fewer effects options: https://tonocracy.com/
I saw lots of people deliberating in the older threads about plugins, and some plugins being too expensive, or not providing the sounds they want. This is i guess my response to those threads without necroposting to lots of older threads
