Question for two way slanters

Hey Everyone! I have a question for those who can do two way slanting at a high level (andy wood, anton oparin, maybe you??) When looking down, is the point of the pick supposed to be exactly perpendicular to the strings? I find its more comfortable and balanced with the it slightly pointing more towards the bridge and am wondering if its hindering my inside picking and upstrokes.

Do you recommend I work on straightening this out?

Mine sticks out in the opposite direction often, As long as its relatively consistent your hand will work around it, or rather with it. If it feels right do it.

The only issue could be getting hooked in the strings, but that is resolved by holding the pick lighter to let it flop around.

In my opinion everyone’s hand are different, you got to go by feel. You’ll naturally get a finesse with the pick over time. My picking has changed loads over the years. Ad I believe going through those changes actually improved my picking than just sticking to one way of holding the pick.

Only way to be sure is to experiment and see how it feels…
