Re-learning my technique

Hi there,

I’m 27 and play guitar since my 10th year.
Although I had a teacher in my first 2 years when I practiced mostly acoustic (nylon) guitar, I quickly went over to e-guitar.

I never really bothered about scales and technique until I rediscovered my old practice book.
Now that I found CTC on youtube I was absolutely amazed.
Now I practice every morning before I go to work at least 30 min and every weekend I have long practice sessions.

Just like Troy I found that I played with the trailing edge of the pick. That brought me into some strong thinking about what advantages and disadvantages this has.
Also like Troy I switched my playing technique from trailing edge to leading edge picking.

Things are still a little bit tricky but I found out that I can play a tremolo faster with the leading edge.
But now I got another issue. I fell considerably shoulder strain on my right Shoulder. Also my neck hurts after a few minutes of rigorous practicing while looking a my fretting hand or my picking hand. =/
Do you have similar experiences or any suggestion for me?

I think I open another post but anyway. I’m happy to be part of the CTC community! =)
