Hi,

Does anyone else here find DWPS impossible? I think I can only play purely UWPS - injecting legato when ascending and sweeping on descending.

I ask because I’d like to learn to 2WPS and crosspick, but don’t know whether I’m missing something about DWPS that’s causing the problems - when I try to DWPS my arm just locks up. I also do Eric Johnson style stuff in reverse, so I sweep 5 note patterns upward rather than down. Works ok but doesn’t have that same snap to it that DWPS seems to have.

I’d like to be able to pick everything if possible -

Anyone else have this problem, maybe there’s a way to get around it?

Hey @adambrad if you upload a video of you trying dwps I think people will be able to help you out a bit more.
Not sure but if your arm is locking up might be a sign of tension from holding the pick too hard?
