Here is a video he just posted that he must have filmed some time ago. There are some licks around 2:35 and a single string sequence at 3:00 where we can see both pickstrokes escaping. This looks like a 902 wrist movement to me. I know that he is capable of crosspicking because of his glass prison video, but I was curious if other people thought this was his motion.

I’m almost positive he uses the thumb/finger along with wrist. I remember watching him explain two string alteration using inside vs outside picking and I saw his finger/thumb mechanic come to the surface. In general, with a double escaped motion. The combo of mechanics can be crucial for explaining how the curve is generated.
