I recently realized that the default position for my right hand is with a bent wrist. I don’t mean a cocked wrist, as in Gypsy Jazz picking or a Benson approach. I mean the position your wrist is in after completing a cast with a fishing rod. That’s not a “wrong” or painful position but if that is where one STARTS, it has adverse consequences, at least in my case. (They could be fine when chosen deliberately with a certain end in mind; it is when they are one’s “default” that, at least in my case, they achieve inconsistent results.)
