Some up close Soloing on my Nylon String with some Di Meola meets Yngwie type lines

Hello, Everyone! I hope you are all dong well! I thought it would be fun to share this little video I made of some soloing I did on my nylon string this morning. In my faster lines I use a lot of Yngwie sextuplet type of licks and I sort of move them around using more Di Meola type of patterns. I never sweep like Yngwie…I alternate pick everything more like Al does with his faster single note lines, except I use the elbow when playing fast not the wrist like he does. They were both huge influences when I started out and I have always enjoyed playing in this style. I tend to use a downward escape stroke when going to a higher string.

Thank you so much!

I second that! Very nicely played as usual.

PS: Any news on when your interview with Troy Grady might go live?

Really nice! I’d actually like to hear it with less compression and less reverb. You’ve got it happening!

[edit: Or more of a ducking reverb so the initial attack isn’t swimming. Dimeola’s always had nice long reverb tails.]
