Wondering if anyone else has tried this or are still doing it. Ive always had trouble with the pick wanting to spin on me when doing hard strumming. So I started sticking Scotch two sided tape to the thumb side of my pick. This has worked great for me over the years and if you want to do some tapping you can let go of the pick and have 4 fingers freed up to do what you want. The pick will stay stuck to your thumb.
