Hey guys, tried to post this in the SWYBRYD facebook group but it was never approved there.
But I was wondering, do you guys who use it, and idk maybe people know if Marshall himself does (tried emailing him but also no response) basically exclusively/whenever possible? Or does it depend on the situation?
I ask because thanks to countless hours playing Intense Rock, Rock Discipline, Speed Kills etc my alternate picking is extremely good, to where I use sweeps when necessary etc but I don’t really ever use economy picking in any place where alternate is an option. I guess I’m just trying to figure out if it’s worth it to try to reinvent my playing for something “better” or I should really just stick to what I do best?
One objective advantage with alternate picking is that in general my picking lines up with the notes you hear, so it’s almost jarring for me to play something where my right hand doesn’t equal what you’re playing (sweeping took me forvever because of this)…I can make a video to explain if it would help.
