I’ve accidentally knocked my Sire electroacoustic and the hit against the floor broke the headstock. Yay!
I guess life is just giving me opportunities to continue practicing my luthier skills.

Annoying. Wood glue to get it back together, CA glue fill and pigment for the residual cracks, lots of elbow grease with micro mesh, some compound and a buff.
Here we go. Wish me luck!
Thank you for the tips! Also, what do you think about those wax sticks they use as cosmetic filler for furniture? I’ve seen luthiers use the markers but I’m wondering if the wax might help make any deeper marks less obvious.
Also forgot a taped off razor to level the ca glue fill. The wax sticks; I think it really depends on the existing finish and how you plan to repair. I honestly have never used them so I don’t really have much opinion.
It was a christmas miracle! 🥹
I did my best with the tools and materials at hand (basically glue, clamps and a touch-up marker), and the outcome made me happy. I’m pretty confident that, with a little more patience and an appropriate lacquer, most traces of the accident would have disappeared.
Finally, I had to test my guitar reborn.
Thank you all for the tips and the good vibes!
You did such a good job!!!
