Sports in general have always been a great topic to nerd out about everything, from Jordan’s hang time to Andrea Pirlo shooting free kicks with the spikes of his boots, etc., and baseball, in my opinion, takes all that to the extreme as calculating a pitcher’s generated rpm or a 1-degree change in the angle of your arm or the bat can be a really big deal.
Particularly, pitching technique seems to be pretty close to what we discuss at CTC every day because everything revolves around how your arm, wrist, and fingers work together to make cool stuff happen, and on that note, it’s really interesting to see the benefits of watching tape in slo-mo to learn what makes the greats great or, in the case of Paul Skenes (arguably, the luckiest man alive
), how to turn a happy accident into guaranteed strikeouts.
