Hi I’m going to New York on vacation in mid October . Do you have any tips of must see guitar stores, small pubs with great live music, other guitar oriented stuff to explore while there ?

i like probably a lot of people, got into music playing the clubs on Bleeker St. The Bitter End is probably a good place to start for original bands/singer songwriter and stuff. But the scene is not what it used to be. There’s great jazz at the Village Vanguard, and so many other places too. I’ve not been around there in a while, but hopefully people who are still around there can offer more up-to-date suggestions.

Rivington Guitars is a short ways away. Rudy’s Music in Soho is great, too.

Hey Andy, I shared a couple ideas for things to check out when @tommo posted something similar a while back. Just a couple that come to mind…I don’t see tons of live shows but I bet there are good places for live music in just about every corner of the city.
