Touching strings with fingers while picking

Hi,

I started long time ago playing guitar, specifically, classical guitar. So I get used to play string with my right hand fingers.

After switching to electric guitar, even using the pick, I’ve realised my right hand fingers also touch the strings slightly when picking.

Do you think that could be making more difficult my progression towards high speed and accuracy? Does it really matter?

Hi Javi!

First question would be… can you hear any string noise from the fingers and/or do you experience discomfort due to this? If the answer is no to both, I’d say no problem!

In these cases we usually suggest to post a video in the technique critique section, or at least a picture of your setup. I’ll copy some suggestions for better filming here, let us know :slight_smile:
