So…my metronome maxes out at 240bpm. But, I noticed that in the videos @Troy is picking WAY faster than 240bpm. It must be around 300 bpm…if not MORE.
Troy, what is your (basic/average) tempo in the Pop Tarts video?

EDIT: Let me rephrase that: Are you playing 4 notes per click or 2? No offense to Troy, but there’s no way he plays 16ths at 300bpm.

Indeed, I think the pop tarts lick is 16th notes at around 200bpm, perhaps a bit more.
Very few people can play 16ths@300 and it does not have too many musical applications besides short tremolo picking lines.

As mentioned, 200-210bpm sixteenths is the “fast” comfort zone for me. Maybe 220bpm if it’s elbow and I’ve had coffee. But definitely nowhere near 300bpm!
