Looks like classic stringhopping to me. Every pick stroke appears to require a full cycle of wrist flexion and extension. You can double your picking speed by figuring out how to get two pickstrokes per cycle.
Do you have a fast tremolo yet? Have you done the table tapping tests? This is usually the first step.

As others have mentioned, this is a textbook example of string hopping. As you go through the CTC materials and technique critiques, I suggest experimenting with different pick grips, as well as pick sizes and shapes.
