Play a note again, and when you go to play the next note try to play it in between the echo.

Once you feel this rhythm then branch off playing a three note per string sequence or scale.

Now add the volume swell every note you hit volume up, before hitting the next note volume all the way down and volume back up.

Ok now that you understand the way it works and can now start to hear the lick without the echo.

Now fire up your favorite music slow downer app, and start black star add the loop from 0:50 seconds to i believe if i remember correctly 1:10. Now listen for the triplet feel trying to turn a deaf ear to the echo.
