What about starting a pick trading group here?

For Christmas, I got a V-pick “Screamer” and a “Euro”. I feel in love with the Euro and absolutely hated the “Screamer”. I played like 30 notes on it knew it wasn’t for me. I emailed Vinni and he said I could send it back and he would send another pick of equal value(!!) which I did. It got me to thinking, how hard it is to find picks that are compatible with your style/gear without spending a lot of money. For cheaper picks, there’s no problem with buying lots of cheapies, but when you start spending 4 or 5 US dollars for one pick (plus S&H), it adds up pretty quick.

IF it is ok with the moderators here, I am wondering if it is ok to start trading picks with each other.
I would be willing to be the first guinea pig. I could take a picture of the picks I am willing to part with and upload. Anyone interested can PM me and then we can negotiate. Obviously there are some logistics to consider here, for example how many “regular” picks is one boutique pick worth, or it’s probably only going to make sense financially if you trade within your own country, etc.

Brendan? Troy? what do you guys think?

LOL, Uglijimus you funny… I spent $100 on picks a few months ago when I was on my quest for the perfect pick.

V-picks, swiss, stubbys, jazz, t3, clayton, various celluloids… Sold them all to a local music store. $30.

So I guess it cost me $70 to know what my favorite pick is. The funny thing is. It’s one of the cheapest out of them all.

Hey cool, I don’t see a problem with this, sounds like something that could be fun. We don’t have time to be involved coordinating or anything but if people want to chime in here to participate and exchange addresses via PM from there, go for it.

I’m into this. I’ve got a bunch of V-picks, a Chicken Pick and a few Dragons Hearts that aren’t really my thing.
