Hi WhammyStarScream thanks fo reaching out to me
but your right my pick isnt Parallel not perpendicular
i been having an hard time trying to find a comfortable picking grip and finding where to rest my hand when mutting i did find something flaw in my chugging ill post a other video
I’ve been telling myself that there could be many other factors contributing to how I’m sitting, from slouching my back to sitting in a very uncomfortable chair, and so on. It could even be the guitar pick I’m using, but I happen to believe it’s all about how I’m resting my picking hand
Yeah, with a decent techniqe that works for you, you can do a lot of physical movement and still be locked in, in your picking.
There are lot of examples of people going nuts on stage yet still play well.
And I mean be perpendicular not Parallel. I got them backwards in the vid. So you should try turn the pick more perpendicular like a cross +. vs parallel like an equals sign = LOL
Hey @Moisvanhalen !
I definitely recommend a platform critique, we can look at this more systematically: Creating A Platform Critique – Cracking the Code
Definitely have the CtC team do a technique critique, they’re amazing.
I am suspicious that your rig isn’t configured for good chugging. You should be able to hit just one note and have it sound awesome. I just don’t hear that in your setup, and it might be a factor.
I’m not sure if you’ve seen Ola search for a good chug sound, but I think that your rig wouldn’t pass his test. Here is an example, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uop4AIPmUpo
I’m not sure its about the sound vs the ease of playing?
Hi kgk thanks for replying back to me, i actually was using amplitube 5 but I didn’t realize that I wasn’t playing on a high gain amp
I should make a better recording of my chugging when I get off from work
When I was starting to learn guitar I couldn’t believe how light you have to be sometimes on electric. I acually thought something isn’t right, the guitar can’t be this sensitive… But it is, and the more you expose yourself to how sensitive amplified guitar can be the more control you’ll natrually get because you’re forced to, and most importantly, you’re getting direct feedback.
There is almost nothing I can say that you won’t be able to feel if you try this.
Once again this is just for practice, no way yoj wana acually play like this…
I’m barly touching the strings while doing this.
