Ah gotcha, I didn’t even realise there was a tab. Will try his way but sounds weird to me
Good job man. Honest question: what benefits do you see of practicing cleanly?
Personally I like to use a tone with a lot of gain so that my synchronisation errors and my string muting errors are amplified.
I think I do it because it’s low friction, I just pick up the guitar and play. Maybe it’s just me but I feel more exposed to mistakes acoustically (and I can actually lose a lot of confidence in my playing if I don’t plug in once in a while).
At the same time, I don’t always try to play perfectly, sometimes I just try to refine / alter something that is almost working (which is why I continued repeating the lick above quickly, even though no single rep was very clean)
Glad you’re recovering!
The clip you posted sounds really good to me. I don’t have a lot of advice other than I guess try speeding it up and see what happens (your recovery permitting )
