Can I use 1080p or do I need a 4k video quality phone to record at 120fps? I see the Google pixel 9a has 120fps at 1080p and 60fps at 4k. Will this be enough to get good video quality of my playing?

The resolution doesn’t matter, only the frame rate. I was not aware that phones can now do 4K in slow motion. If they can, they won’t hurt, but it’s not strictly necessary unless you’re a dermatologist. You can see anything you need to see with 720p or better. High speed and good lighting matters the most.
