Magnet backer here but would like to put up some more videos in the meantime. How are yall managing to film the picking hand and keep the fretting hand free to play?

I’ve just done tripod with a DSLR (like a stream setup) but obviously not a picking-specific setup. Waiting on the magnet for that, but I’ve seen people either have an accessory that attaches to the headstock, or a tripod that they set up “down the neck” and just try not to move much.

I wasn’t able to back the Magnet in time, so I’ve had to make do with a different mount that attaches to the headstock with a clamp. The one I have (which is the one I linked) is very strong and it doesn’t have any form of padding, so if you were to get it I’d put a handkerchief or a towel or something similar between the headstock and the clamp so it doesn’t damage anything.
