I’ve been watching the Greg Howe Hot Licks video and note that he position-shifts with his first finger, as in, as soon as possible, when moving up the fretboard.
I’ve always shifted my pinky in these scenarios and have been trying to learn his way to see what I can get out of it.
Any preference/suggestions for using one finger over another?
