Hey everyone!
New member here. I’ve seen some of the material on Youtube but it’s my first time joining the group. My playing was never really involved in the picking department so I sat down and started working on it.
The way I pick in the video doesn’t tense up the right hand but it’s the only trusted mechanic I’ve got. I can also do some other motions like EVH and EJ but they don’t feel stable at the moment and introduce a bit of tension. I do have some synchronization issues which I assume will go away with practice.
I would love to explore more picking mechanics but first it’d be great if any of you could point me to the right direction on which players/licks to check out that match this way of picking just to get me going! I think I’m doing something similar to Andy Wood but I’m not sure.
If you have any technique suggestions shoot! It wont hurt me!
