What I find amazing about this video is he was being watched by Steve Lukather and Joe Satriani. And even under that pressure with no second chances, hit every note so cleanly and relaxed and fluidly. Really an amazing performance. He uses the middle finger grip as far as I can tell and still shreds it up.
Obviously my opinion but I love this shit.
