Why body shape is important

I just realized that while body shape does impact the neck angle while sitting, it has profound impact on one’s forearm movement and placement; I have only been playing a V for the last few years but I will switch to a S-type guitar and see what happens. I feel stupid for not realizing this before. “Obvious in retrospect,” to be sure.

This is why I practice on a steinberger spirit, the small body helps put the guitar in a better position when sitting. It’s funny how the slightest angle changes can ruin your playing. Or improve it. I come at it from a 180 degree angle, that way I never have to face reality

That’s why I make sure to hit the gym regularly.

Oh wait…

But don’t you love the way guitar bodys push deep into the side of your veins? :scream:

yeah a sharp top edge to rest your arm on? nothing like it I guess lol

thats why 99% of my playing has been done with Ibanez Rg’s. Nice and smooth

I’m on team “sharp body edges digging in”

my forearm gets all sticky on an arm chamfer
