Hey!
I’ve seen a recent insurgence of this iconic piece of guitar music so I thought I’d share a relatively old video of mine (uploaded in 2019 but I had recorded it probably in 2017 or so)
I did spend some good hours trying to both catch the underlying picking pattern and the kind of “rubato” feel that I learned to take into account when playing YJM.
After all those years, it sounds better than I recalled, probably at the time I was much more “into it” so my critique senses where heightened , but I still think that there are a few critical points where I did not get the right pattern between picking and legato.
I tend to record myself to snapshot my “average level” so, as usual, I did not fret to make 50 takes and select the best or anything like that. It is a study video, not a promotion.
As always, comments and tips are well appreciated!
Regards,
Michele
