Hey everybody. I’ve been playing guitar as a hobby since the 80s. Big fan of Vai, Van Halen, Gilbert, etc.
I’ve been subscribed to Masters in Mechanics since it launched, and I’m excited to see how this forum will grow.
Edit: I just realized that since my username starts with F, and my default avatar has an orange circle, my avater looks like the logo for the F train (of New York City Subway fame). This was just a random coincidence.

Ha, I see you’ve settled on a somewhat tastier avatar but we are well-acquainted with the F train (closest subway to the current Cracking the Code office!)
I knew CTC had a Brooklyn connection, but I don’t know the region well enough to quip about it. 
I spent a big chunk of my youth in a city that covers roughly the same amount of land as Brooklyn, but with a population of about 150,000, and no other significant urban center within about 150 miles. Slightly different experience.
