Yes, just make sure you don’t accidentally hit the strap release when you are pushing the guitar off. lol. It’s real easy to hit stuff doing this indoors too. So my video is a bad example. I could easily hit the ceiling, ceiling fan, or couch if I wasn’t paying attention.
Dimarzio’s are braided nylon. I’ve never had one fail. But I would worry about the strap eventually breaking using the regular strap lock buttons.

Yeah, that’s what I call PRS… beautiful coffee tables. Good for nothing but hanging a cup holder on to hold your drink. 
Yngwie is 100% right. If you knock a Les Paul around at all, it will snap in half. Bad headstock design among other things. If you notice, the ESP that the kid threw was a SG design. So it busted to pieces. A Stratocaster would have survived that throw… might have shifted the neck, but it wouldn’t be destroyed. I accidentally tossed one of my Strats against a wall on a small stage when I toured with Rob. I picked the MF up off the floor and kept playing. I had to tune after the song. Good to go. A Gibson would have been toothpicks. I snapped the headstock on a Les Paul in high school. I’ll never own another one.

Loe Fender was definitely a genius, a stratocaster is still a thing of extreme beauty, way sexier than anything Gibson etc have.
It’s hilarious to see all the copies, none are more elegant than the original. Perfection from 1954. I can’t stop staring at my YJM even when my gf is in the room lol. I need help
