the thing about the original 70s picado is the ascending mixing descending licks, insane even for tre finger picado…
Cristian,
You can do this stuff.
Do you ever use 3-finger scales?
Also do you find the best speed using IM or IA?
Flamenco Paco runs are the hardest runs I ever try, believe it or not Paco was the high tier of hardest things to play hahaha. Yeah I tried to play some of Paco 70s entre dos aguas - Mediterranean sundance picado solo with 3 fingers and even with that I can’t play the Paco lines hahaha, he was superhuman 55 years ago
Yes De Lucia had incredible technique.
But your chops are VERY good.
What is your top speed on playing a simple major scale (mixture of 2 and 3 nps) up and down?
I’ve noticed that Paco and you both have your right-hand knuckles almost parallel to the strings, while typical classical guitarists have their knuckles angled more across the strings at about a 45 degree angle. With the knuckles parallel to the strings, I don’t get the strength to really pull the strings hard for volume, compared to the other method.
Do your finger tips brush the string before your nail hits it, is it friction from the skin creating the volume for you or is it entirely your fingernail doing the work? Thanks!
