In the fast picking video, I can’t really see your technique as most of your right hand is out of frame but I’d dare say that’s the picking motion you’ve been looking for and think it’s a totally serviceable technique that will get smoother as you learn to control it. At this point, I would devote entirely to learning fast phrases on a single string because something I noticed is that your hand sync could use some love and that might be impacting your picking technique.
