The kickstarter was done quite a while ago, so I doubt you can go through that. I’m sure that once the magnets are through the manufacturing process, you will be able to buy one.

Does anyone know when we can expect our next update on the production status for The Magnet?
Not really, they’re trying to get some more parts produced before the Chinese new year kicks in and they have to take a month or so off. If we can get some actual test units before then that would be great, but we don’t know yet.

There was a kickstarter type campaign done a while back to get them into production. The prototypes have been sent to the CTC team recently, so those who signed up will likely get theirs relatively soon. It is my understanding that CTC will be selling them after that point. There some updates posted when any progress made, so I’m sure that you won’t miss it when it lands.

We are still working with the factory to fine-tune the production process (link to update below).
When that is sorted, the kickstarter supporters will be the first to receive a magnet.
And after that, we’re indeed planning to make them available for purchase.

Relatively soon? It’s now yet another year later.
Is there any chance of getting one this year? I realize there have been some issues but wow, I’ve worked in R and D in the past and never saw anything take this long and we’re talking far more complex projects.
I’m pretty sure I’m getting updates and it’s been a while since the last one. Anyway, further info would be fantastic.
Just a guess, but this is being produced in China, and something like 40% of China’s manufacturing capacity is currently experiencing rolling shutdowns as China tries to hold their “Zero Covid” program in place in the face of an omicron wave that the Chinese vaccine is proving fairly ineffective in preventing. It’s making a mess out of, well, a lot of things right now, and this is one of the smaller ones.
