Upward Pickslanting and Palm Muting?

I’ve been able to downward pickslant and palm mute at the same time without much issue.

However, whenever I try do an upward pickslant, my palm lifts up since I need to slant my hand outwards. Hence, my palm is lifted up and it’s difficult to force my palm to mute at the same time.

Has anyone encountered any similar issues?

Try:

1.Not so much changing the angle of the hand as changing the angle of the pick stroke so as to escape the other way.

  1. Angling the pick the other way by moving the thumb and finger(s) rather than the whole hand/arm so as to allow the same muting position.

  2. Combining various degrees of the above til you find something comfortable.
